Yes! Absolutely.

The American Direct Support Safety Standards meets the standards as the American Heart Association AND also includes specialized material for those supporting people with Intellectual/ Developmental Disabilities, Aging Adults and those with Physical Disabilities.

Does this accreditation cover Adult, Child and Infant CPR and A.E.D and Adult First Aid?

That’s correct!

The American Direct Support Safety Standards meets the standards meets the requirement for most Medicaid programs that require basic CPR and First Aid.

Does this accreditation offer an online only option for certification?

No, we do not. The skills demonstration must be completed in person with a certified instructor.

Typically, states, counties, managed care organizations and other funding entities within the Medicaid program require the CPR providers to comply with national standards including a physical demonstration of skills in order to receive the full certification.
